Charley Clarke is Verification Lead for Europe at BlueMark and focuses on client engagement and leading Impact Management System verification assignments, most recently for signatories to the Operating Principles for Impact Management. Charley joined BlueMark as Verification Lead in May 2020, based in France just outside of Geneva.

Prior to joining BlueMark, Charley was Principal Consultant at Itad, the UK’s leading firm specializing in Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning for international development. At Itad she led MERL for Impact Investing and Innovative Finance initiatives, partnering with clients in the US and UK/Europe including Nesta Impact Investments, Rockefeller Foundation, Argidius Foundation, The CDC Group, Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs / The Good Growth Fund, MasterCard Foundation, and DFID.

Charley has over 15 years’ experience in international development, finance sector development, investment and infrastructure, including long term in-country roles in Lao PDR, Solomon Islands, South Africa and Indonesia/Timor-Leste. Her key skills include design and delivery of Impact Management systems, IM system verification and assurance, impact evaluations, monitoring and learning for complex initiatives, surveys, multi-year longitudinal studies, and environmental and social impact assessments for industry and infrastructure development.

Charley holds a MSc in Environmental Management from the University of Nottingham, UK.
