Matt Donovan is an Analyst at BlueMark focused on impact assurance and verification. Matt joined BlueMark in the Summer of 2023 and is based in New York.

The summer before joining BlueMark, Matt worked with the Boston-based impact investing startup CapShift, where he helped conduct an editorial overhaul of the written content on the company’s online platform. Prior to CapShift, Matt was a high school Spanish teacher and soccer coach at St. Sebastian’s School in Needham, MA, where he taught for three academic years between 2018 and 2021.

Matt received his M.A. from Columbia University’s School of International Affairs (SIPA). At SIPA, he became interested in sustainable investing practices from his Capstone research project on the uptake of ESG practices in institutional investors in Latin America. He holds a B.S. from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
