Layla Varkey is a Senior Analyst at BlueMark focused on impact assurance and verification. Layla joined BlueMark in September 2022.

Before joining BlueMark, Layla was an analyst at OakNorth Bank, working on the transaction execution team to support flexible financing to SMEs across the UK. Layla has also worked at Logische Phantasie Lab, the Supportive Housing Network of New York, and Legal Services of New Jersey.

Layla holds a dual MA/MSc with distinction in International and World History from Columbia University and the London School of Economics. She graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University’s department of politics, where her undergraduate thesis won the prize for the best thesis on a subject in political science.
