Christa Clapp

Board Observer

Christa Clapp is a Board Observer on the BlueMark Governing Board. Christa is the Global Head of Sustainable Finance Market Analytics at S&P Global Ratings. She co-founded Shades of Green, a global leader in independent opinions for green bonds, which was acquired by S&P Global. Within S&P Ratings, she focuses on sustainable finance strategy and product development and is a leading market voice on green bonds.

Previously, Christa was the Research Director for Climate Finance at CICERO climate research institute. She has also held positions at the OECD and the US EPA, where she received a National Honor Award Gold Medal. She was a Lead Author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change 6th assessment report on mitigation for the finance and investment chapter and currently sits on the Editorial Board for the Climate Policy Journal.

Christa received a master’s in international relations and economics from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies and holds an undergraduate degree in economics cum laude from Kalamazoo College.
