Frequently Asked Questions

Account Set Up

How do I reset my password?

Please watch this video. Alternatively, please click “Forgot Password” and follow the instructions provided.

How do I invite a colleague to join the BIQ platform?

Currently, allocators cannot create user accounts directly within the BIQ platform. To add a colleague, please contact BlueMark IQ and share your colleague’s full name, job title, and email address. The BlueMark IQ team will then assist with setting up the account.

Platform Functions

How do I….

BlueMark has released a set of 1-5 min. videos to orient you on how to use the basic functions of the platform. Please click through the videos linked above for an initial orientation. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, please contact BlueMark IQ with a brief description of support required.

  • Request Fund Profile Access
  • Editing Allocator Content
  • Requesting Impact Performance Data
  • Adding Fund-Specific Metrics for Your Reporting Needs
  • Creating an Impact Metrics
  • Creating Client Portfolio for Reporting
  • Publishing/Sharing a Portfolio with a Client

Will my colleague and I be able to view the same dashboards/funds, or do we need to create the portfolios/invite funds individually?

All colleagues with access to the BIQ platform will be able to view the same funds, dashboards, and client portfolios. Visibility is managed at the allocator account level, so information on the platform is shared across all users within the same account.

For example, if one user requests access to a Fund Profile and the fund approves the request, the approved Fund Profile will be visible to all colleagues on the same allocator account – no additional requests are needed.

What are the “Impact Risks Score” and “Impact Strategy Score” under the “Allocator Content” section?

These fields are intended for your internal due diligence and allow you to record your own scores. BlueMark does not provide or calculate scores for these categories – they are currently placeholders for allocator use.

For paid allocator subscribers, these fields are customizable by allocator workflow needs – in other words, allocators can align them with their internal scoring frameworks. For example, they could be repurposed as an “Impact Score,” “ESG Score,” or “Compliance Score,” depending on your internal diligence needs.

The fund(s) I requested access to about a week ago have not approved the request. Is there a way to send reminders or have BlueMark intervene?

Yes. The BlueMark team can follow up directly with the GPs to request approval and, if needed, can approve access as an administrator.

In a future platform update, allocators will be able to send automated reminders directly through the platform if an access request remains outstanding for a certain period of time.

Fund Directory

I know a fund I’ve invested in is already on BIQ, but I can’t find it in the Fund Directory to request access. Why?

A small number  funds choose to set their entire BIQ profile as Private, meaning they are not searchable in the Fund Directory for allocators. If you are aware that a fund you’ve invested in is already on BIQ but cannot locate it, it is likely that the fund has restricted its visibility.

In this case, please contact BlueMark IQ with the name of the fund, and we would be happy to coordinate with the GP to enable your access. If you are unsure whether a fund is on BIQ, you are also welcome to reach out to BlueMark IQ with the fund name, and we can help confirm its status.

Am I able to adjust my fund profile’s visibility on the BlueMark IQ directory at any time?

Yes – please let us know at any time if you’d like to change your visibility status, and we can adjust your profile visibility accordingly. Please email us at  BlueMark IQ with your request.

I’ve clicked into a few fund profiles but keep seeing a banner saying “This account is private”. Are all funds on BIQ private?

The Fund Directory allows subscribing LPs to view high-level, basic information for all funds, such as fund headquarters, fund manager, vintage year, investment horizon, geography, and BlueMark verification.

If you see a “This account is private” banner, it means you do not yet have access to that fund’s full profile. To view comprehensive information, click the “Request Access” button. This will notify the GP that you are interested in the fund. Once the GP approves your request, you will gain access to the complete profile.

The full fund profile may include: detailed deployment data, associated verification/Fund ID ratings and scores, historical impact performance, as well as key documents uploaded by the fund.

For a preview of what a full profile looks like, you can explore one of the three demo BlueMark IQ funds that have already been added to your portfolio.

Platform Customization

How much can the allocator customize fund profile categories, such as asset class labels and impact category labels? Some of the current categories don’t map to our internal labels. What would the impact be for other GPs and LPs on the platform?

The taxonomies are intended to be standard across all clients using the platform to encourage efficiencies in reporting across fund manager users and allocators. The current asset class/impact theme taxonomies have been developed in collaboration with existing early adopters. We are able to continue refining them (or adding to them) with additional input/feedback, subject to alignment with other clients on the platform.
